DEPARTMENT PROFILE

 

Brief History of the Department:

 

            Sri Dasari Narayana Rao Degree College for Women, Palakol, West Godavari Distt. was established in the year 1982. The college has the distinction of being the first Government Degree College for women in the district. Consistent with its motto “Aim High” the college strives to empower women by providing the education at affordable cost particularly to those hailing economically weakness sections from the rural areas.

          The Department of Political Science was established 01-07-1982, since its inception there is only member in the department. He is accommodated in the common staff room. The college made a humble beginning with student strength of 45 offering B.A. course with Telugu as the medium of teaching.

➨The study of the process; principles & the structure of Government political institutions.

 ➨The systematic study of Government and politics

. ➨Political science is a study of nature; causes and consequences of collective decisions and generates observations of relevance to policy makers & their fellow citizens and global communities.

➨To be able to deal with social and economic problems and other matters of public and private concerns.
